#Finland time. So after the Uber to the airport... we were looking for "not McDonalds means of a proper dinner".
Decidedly slim pickings hahah!
BUT! There was one savior in the night, Ristorante Mirella, a brisk walk from the hotel.
We took an Uber and we thought we had just gotten coaxed into a bar with improper information... but NO! Service was a good step above average, personnel were genuinely kind and helpful, vibe was homely...hell even the drunk guests were joyful and gave advice!
I had a pizza nduja and my partner had a porcini risotto.
We would've preferred the quaint endemic Finnish stuff... but for what it is, it was above expectations and lifted our spirits... ok, yeah, I also had two peroni🍺🍺...
My partner is from #Cascais and we both agreed not to make an extreme excursion for a dinner... so how do you impress someone who's lived around the same area most her life?
Well I chose a lane-switch and went with House of Wonders. A vegetarian restaurant that doesn't have a menu. You simply get to see the dishes as they are served and you point at what you want... and they update regularly!
I had "Humshukah", a Shakshukah served on top of hummus. @dotmargui had a vegetarian Tom Yam (Thai style soup). Then she had a nice unique brownie and I had a coconut..pudding(?).. It was delicious!
And before we got home we took a walk and then shared a Chai at Honest Greens.

FYI: Glassdoor is like Yelp but for companies, you can read what people anonymously think about the companies(...though I highly doubt that they keep the most transparent and thus unhinged critiques up...)
But they DO keep this up which surprised me.
As you may tell by the clouds, the rest of the day will likely mark this as the 14th consecutive rainy day.

Claude, especially for programmers with Claude Code, IS impressive for what it is... an LLM that will stochastically barf out approximations of code that you want or help you solve problems. The web version is sharp too.
They're gonna crank the gas price once the dependency has set in... and it's gonna hurt companies bad. Just imagining the triage of it all, like "who is important enough at the company to have the privilege to use Claude"...just that part is scary enough.
I'm stoked beyond what words could ever express.

The first one was a blonde female Ukranian soldier on the frontline. I used some #OSINT skills to fetch where the image was from, only publically available image of her face, at all, was from a Chinese news publication that was only cached and no longer sent out. (1/2)
So I just thought to myself:

I'm cooking on ~4½h of sleep but managed to get up, dust myself off and by 09:20 or so, Finnish time of course, me and my partner had a nice breakfast at the #HotelHelka.
I got go try some Finnish local delicacies like cheese and the Karelian Pirogi and also some stuff I recognize, being that I'm Swedish.
Sundays are decidedly slower, especially this time around and in Nordic fashion but quite frankly that's a plus for me. Just some nice "slow tourism" with my better half.
Time to go to #Finland!

Currently at the airport. Flight is going to be LONG.
We didn't manage to get tickets so we could sit together on the long flight so me and Margarida will be trying this bluetooth mesh app to chat with each other on the flight, which makes me stoked in a nerdy way.
Had a lil snack now at the #Lisboa airport. Will try to get a super-late dinner in most likely after dropping the bags off at the hotel.
Looking forward to enjoy Finnish culture. Meeting my colleagues from Nordhealth on the 19th. Yeah! Fairly sure 2026 will redeem itself for me, personally.

Well the hype was huge and then it died down...but now it's coming back with a vengeance and it will allow us to use less resources for some pretty astounding results in the future. Not all technological advancement has to come with dread in 2026.
