Om du inte betalar för produkten är du produkten. Precis som AI idag gick de här plattformarna i flera år på riskkapital. Nu måste de leverera siffror, och det är därför tjänsterna blir sämre och vi hela tiden hör om vad de gör med vår data.
De bygger också på dark patterns: gränssnitt gjorda för att manipulera snarare än tjäna. Det vägrar jag stödja.

Jag bor utomlands och vill fortfarande dela mitt liv med de jag känner, och de jag kanske kommer att lära känna online (jag älskar fortfarande att nätverka), utan att lämna över det till en miljardärs algoritm. Jag tror på det fria och öppna internet, så jag finns på Fediversen: tusentals oberoende servrar (Mastodon, Pleroma…) som pratar med varandra, som e-post. Ingen enskild ägare, ingen muromgärdad trädgård, inga annonser.

I've stopped using my accounts on the big social media platforms. Briefly, why:
If you're not paying for the product, you are the product. Like AI today, these platforms ran for years on VC money. Now they have to make their numbers, which is why they keep getting worse and why we keep hearing about what they do with our data.
They also rely on dark patterns: interfaces built to manipulate rather than serve. I won't support that.

I believe in the free and open internet, so I'm on the Fediverse: thousands of independent servers (Mastodon, Pleroma…) that all talk to each other, like email. No single owner, no walled garden, no ads.

Had a job interview that went very well except for like one section but hopefully I represented myself well enough.
Went with @dotmargui to the beach near our home for the first time. Got some sun on. Then I went to Jay's and had toast, nachos and some cider.
Might meet up with my parents today. Hopefully! They've traveled all the way from Sweden by train to hang out in Portugal with little old me!

A carrot, mushroom and zucchini soup with a dollop of sour cream. And then two panfried toast sandwiches with #Portuguese rolo de carne made by our local butcher. Buttered thinly with sour cream on one side, a calabrese pesto on the other side and some aged gouda cheese for good measure too.
Came out delicious!

Australian levels of personal infringement. Kids are picking it up because STUPID shops put it in their hands but guess what: I'd rather have them snus than to buy drugs on the Deep Web,or smoke anything for that matter. It will mainly hurt mobility of adults that rather not smoke.
Hopefully my next adventure is just around the corner, fingers crossed!
#Marvel movies have fallen off mostly for me, being an avid fan of the comics growing up, but the original DareDevil series was the first Marvel series and they sourced the right people, like Philip Silvera and the likes, who also did wonders bringing the vision of John Wick to life, proving once again that stunts simply can not be replaced with cheap #CGI or #AI.
First episode of #DareDevil was awesome. Looking forward to the next!

Apparently the chimney connection still needs to be fixed, lest water comes into the apartment...which sounds like a crazy concept to me but here we are.
Hopefully it's days away and not weeks until we can move in though. Bathroom, chimney, electrical sockets and furniture assembly...then we're there.
Just need to hold on yet a little while longer
